The Dangers of Blogging

I love the ability to express myself that blogging has given me but I despair when I look around at what some other people are doing. They’re pouring out their innermost secrets to the world and, while that can have some positive effect on them, there are some things, some thoughts, some dark recesses of the soul that should be kept hidden and should never be revealed to your closest confidants let alone people you have never even met.

So many people see the Internet as some anonymous talk fest but how do you know that you really are anonymous? How do you really know that what you say on the Net today – that dark and writhing monster that you free from your soul by spilling your guts on a blog – won’t come back to bite you in the years ahead?
